Manifesto

Mousai’s purpose is to curate work by artists who explore transgression. Artists who, along with their work, represent the ‘other’ and explore the cracks in the world, exposing them without censor.

Mousai follows in the footsteps of true art, embracing those transgressive who aim their arrows of subversion at the core of the sun. Together we draw the bow and release the arrow on its path towards the event horizon, without the taint of commercial and cultural homogenisation blunting its tip.

Mousai seeks to champion the mirror of subversion and force the world that created the horror within which we live to look, without any possibility of hijack.

Mousai is a non profit organisation and we serve the promotion and integrity of subversive art, and deny any interest that would undermine or violate that most precious of aims; transgression.

This is deliberately inimical.

Transgression will mean very different things to everyone.

Mousai seeks to propose no universality or objectivity to any definition one may suggest.

To define, is to conform.
